Team 45 45 League
Greetings STC Bunchers!!
Tournament 30 is now underway with a new record of 87 teams on ICC, far
surpassing the old record of 70 teams! There are 11 teams in the U2200
section, 16 teams in the U2000 section, 20 teams in the U1800 section, 25
teams in the U1600 section, and 15 teams in the U1300 section. Remember, the
sectional limits are for average team ratings of the top four boards on each
team.
There are 436 total players and 377 unique players enjoying the action in
Tournament 30, some players participate on more than one team. You can play
on up to three teams in a tournament, provided that the teams are in
different sections, and that you have accumulated a quality reliability
rating in the League. Newbies can play on one team in their first Team 45 45
League tournament. Additionally, there are now over 600 members in the Team
45 45 League Group channel 345 on ICC!
There is a great new feature at the Team 45 45 League website to report. If
you click on a player’s handle on various pages such as the pairings page or
the teams page, you’ll find the history for that player going back to
Tournament 21 with round by round results, and total wins, draws, and losses.
Another new feature is the ability to have your country’s flag displayed next
to your handle by choosing to do so at the player’s profile page. Kudos and
thanks to SandiaCaveMan for his hard work and innovative ideas!
The dates for Tournament 31 are set. Entries will be accepted May 30th
through June 13th at the League website which is

scheduled to begin June 20th, 2006. Please remember that you have to join
Team 45 45 League to participate in our tournaments, membership is FREE! Just
click on the Players’ Handbook and FAQ’s links at the League website for
simple instructions to join Team 45 45 League. Recent League tournaments have
seen players rated in the 1000 to 2400+ range, there’s room for players of
all strengths!!
Team 45 45 League is now a “Group” on ICC. Our new channel on ICC is channel
345, to join the group type g-join Team4545League. We also have an ICC group
web-page at
http://www.chessclub.com/groups/Team4545League which contains
pertinent information regarding upcoming tournaments, a brief description of
the League, and useful links to the League website.
ICC continues to give PRIZES in the form of one month membership extensions
to players who play at least two games in a tournament on a championship
